Here's a little logic on prayer... So, in the bible, God has supposedly made a 'Divine' plan. Here is a theory:

Let's say, a man prays to God for something to happen. What if what he prays for is not in God's divine plan? I'm sure he wouldn't change his plan for the man's need, would he? So, whats the point of praying then????

In response to:Deliverence

Thank you very much! It embraces all what life's torture could be.
Your ability to capture the depth of 'core' feelings, then to strung them together in a few lines reveals more about humanity than hundred pages of a well written text.
But couldn't one argue, that the fact we don't care can be translated as indifference, and hence apathy?

In response to:"Oh, the humanity!"

Richard Dawkins would argue that selfishness is, in evolutionary terms, a good thing. He's probably right too. But, humans are the only species sufficiently intelligent and powerful enough to modify the world to fit us rather than modify ourselves to fit the world. We have the capacity for great caring yet many choose to not exercise it. I think the greed that is encouraged by capitalism is part of the problem. Humans are greedy and the current system encourages it to the point where many of simply don't care about the suffering of others. It isn't apathy. It's not that we're lazy, it's that we don't care.
Actually mate this is NOT a musically orientated article, so its not a review, im afraid I should have mentioned that in the post, so I'm sorry to have caused the mix up there. The post is orientated at the musicians themselves and i admit hastily written after i listen to the album. (Yes, I actually did listen to it :P)
No offense (and your entitled to your opinion) but if you analysed the album fairly and not based on the commercial success of St.Anger you might have found out the following things: 1) This album is extremely diverse and offers things that not only metallica have never done but no band is doing successfully at the moment. 2) "death magnetic" is actually a pretty interesting title as it looks at the theme of death from a more mature stand point than most metal bands. Its a commentary on how some people are attracted to it and some repelled (in its simplest form) and 3) It is a very different album from st anger. So many people call st anger shit but thats only because its different to what they are used to. If you look past that you should see that its actually a very heavy and original album. Even if you dont like it...at least they tried something different.

The main problem with your "review" of death magnetic is you dont mention the musical content so you obviously havent heard the whole album.

In response to:Death Magnet...more like A Load Of Shit

I'm no die hard Metallica fan, but it's 'Death Magnetic' and you haven't given any musical reason to why the album is aload of "tosh".

So I class this review as void.
